Argentina Tourist VISA is a short-term VISA. This means that you’re not allowed to stay more than 90days in the Country.

Documents For The Argentina Tourist VISA Application

Before you apply for the VISA, you need to compile the following documents, so that you can submit them during application;

  1. Argentina VISA Application Form; completed and signed.
    • You can download the application form from the Embassy/Consulate Website and complete it by hand, or complete it online, and then simply download it. It depends on the specific Embassy/Consulate.
  2. Your Passport; The passport must be valid for at least another six months, starting from the date you intend to depart Argentina. It must have at least two blank pages.
  3. Photocopies of your passport (and if required, previous passports) showing the personal details and any previous and current VISAs
  4. Pictures of yourself, with the following specifications:
    • Dimensions: 4cm x 4cm
    • White background
    • Colored
    • Taken recently
    • Neutral facial expression
  5. Return flight tickets or travel itinerary
  6. Proof you have accommodation in Argentina
  7. Proof of sufficient financial means to cover the duration of your stay, such as through Bank statements
  8. Proof of paid Argentina VISA fee
  9. For Minors: Travel authorization from the Parent(s) or Legal Guardian(s), legalized by an Apostille or the Argentina Consulate or Embassy.
  10. Proof of Hotel Reservation; If you are staying with a Family member or friends, include a letter of invitation from your Host. The letter must be certified by a Notary and Legalized and accompanied by the ID of the Host.
  11. Documents regarding your employment status:
    • If you are employed: A letter from your Employer confirming your employment, and stating your position in the company, how long you will be absent, and your salary.
    • If you are a Student: A letter from your School, confirming your enrollment, details of your course, and how long you will be absent
    • If you are self-employed: Your Business’ official registration or proof of tax returns

How To Apply For The VISA

Argentine Tourist VISA

Applying for the Argentina Tourist VISA, you have to download the application form from the Embassy/Consulate Website, and complete it by hand or complete it online and then simply download it. It depends on the specific Embassy/Consulate.

After completing the form, you have to submit it at the Argentina Diplomatic Missions in your Home Country.

Set up an appointment with them, and get a date for the VISA interview.

Find out the nearest Argentina Embassy or Consulate in your neighboring Countries, if there’s none in your Country.

You will submit the application form, alongside all the documents mentioned above. Attend the VISA interview if a date is slated to you. You will have to pay your VISA fee that day.

The Embassy/Consulate will likely inform you of the payment method, or they may have the required information on their Website. Argentina VISA Fee is €150 – €200.

However, Citizens of Canada still have to pay the Argentina Reciprocity Fee (about $160).

You have to wait for the VISA to be processed, once you have applied. You will receive the Argentina VISA sticker on your passport, and you may enter Argentina for the time that the VISA is issued, if the application is approved.

Other Important Things To Note

To get an extension on your Argentina Tourist VISA for another 90 days, you must apply at the Immigration office in Buenos Aires (Dirección Nacional de Migraciones), and pay the appropriate extension fee.

You can apply for an Argentine e-VISA, (Electronic Travel Authorization) here if you’re;

  • You have a valid B2 VISA issued by the USA or a valid Schengen VISA; and
  • Your current VISA is valid for at least three more months

Kindly Note

Tourist VISA for Argentina

You must attach electronic files of the scanned pages of your passport, and pay the ETA VISA fee online. If approved, you will receive an electronic VISA, which you must print and bring with you, when you travel to Argentina. The ETA is valid for three months and allows multiple entries into the Country.
