About The Awarding Institution

What Determines Eligibility?
Interested Applicants MUST be a citizen of the USA, to be able to participate.
Entrance Requirements: An applicant for the Winston Churchill Scholarship, must be a citizen of the United States, either native-born or naturalized, and must be a senior who is enrolled in one of the institutions, participating in the program or a student who has graduated from one of those Institutions within the past 12 months.
Upon taking up the Churchill Scholarship, a Churchill Scholar must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent, and may not have attained a doctorate.
Acceptable course of study: The award will be available to candidates seeking to pursue a degree in Science, mathematics, and engineering as offered by the University.

Required documents: 1-page Proposed Program of Study, a 2-page Personal Statement, your transcript, and correspondence with a potential lab supervisor (if applicable), four academic letters of recommendation.

Benefits Of The Award
The Churchill award is worth around $60,000, which covers all University and College fees, living allowance, travel allowance to and from the United Kingdom, reimbursement of application fees for a UK visa and health surcharge (currently over $500).
