What Determines Eligibility
Applications from Australian and New Zealand citizens will be accepted.
Acceptable Course of Study: The grant will be awarded for selected participants, enrolled in a Bachelor of Information Technology Undergraduate Degree.
Applicants should check out the following eligibility criteria before applying:
- All candidates must be a recent School Leaver.
- Candidates should be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or the holder of an Australian permanent Resident VISA, a permanent Humanitarian VISA will also be considered.
- For The Duration Of The Scholarship: full-time enrolment in a UTS Bachelor of Information Technology Undergraduate Degree, which is their first Undergraduate Degree.
- All candidates must apply using the University of Technology Sydney BIT online application form to be deemed eligible.
- Candidates are advised to apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC), for Admission into the Bachelor of Information Technology.
It is expected that students will achieve an ATAR of around 90 or higher. The Faculty may consider applicants whose ATAR, falls in the range of 80 to 99.95 (including adjustment points) depending on the quality of their application and interview.

To compete for the Award, candidates must apply for admission at the UTS. All applicants are required to complete their admission and application separately.

If you are a 12-level-students, attach your most recent Year 12 reports.
If you are not sitting the HSC in 2020, send copies of your background qualifications, e.g. TAFE transcript, work resume with application.
Applicants must also meet all Entry Requirements for Admission, into UTS which varies from course to course.
Applicants must also meet the English language requirements, by having the following qualifications:
- An assessable qualification undertaken in English, which should include a completed course taught in English.
If you did not take an Education in English, so you will have to complete an English language test or program recognized by the university.
Benefits Of The UTS Bachelor Of Information Technology Co-operative Scholarship
The Award Amount is $49,500, which will be paid in a period of three years. The number of selected recipients is dependent on the pool of Scholarship sponsors for that given session.
