What Determines Eligibility?

University of Queensland

Candidates from all Countries (other than Australian citizens and permanent residents) are eligible to apply for this Award.

Eligible Course of Study: This grant program is open to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs in these study areas;

  • Agriculture and Environment
  • Architecture and Planning
  • Science and Mathematics.

To be eligible for the Science international awards at UQ, applicants must fulfill these criteria:

  • The candidates must be classified as an International student in Australia.
  • All documentations must meet the conditions, associated with an offer from UQ, for an approved program, and submitted before the grants closing date.
  • Candidates are to demonstrate a strong academic performance as part of the UQ program application.
  • Candidates should enroll in a program, administered by the UQ Faculty of Science; the program must be of more than one year’s duration (full time).
  • Candidates should be enrolling in their first semester of study at UQ.

How To Apply For The Science International Awards

For candidates that are interested to apply, they will have to enroll in an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree Program at UQ. After receiving the admission, they can now proceed to fill and submit the online application form.

Required Documents: In addition, with the application, candidates will have to submit a personal statement, addressing their capacity to create change and contribute to science (word limit: 300 words).

For admission eligibility, applicants must have Overall Positions (OPs), International Baccalaureate (IB) scores, and Selection Ranks.

Applicants from non-English speaking Countries, are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English, at the higher level required by the University.
