The Tuition Award is open for Chinese applicants, who want to pursue a PhD Degree Program. The objective of this program is to increase research opportunities, for high-capacity students at North China Electric Power University.

What Determines Eligibility?
Participants from China are welcomed to apply for this opportunity.
Eligible Course of Study: The grant can be awarded in the field offered by the University.
In order to be eligible to apply for this joint Scholarship, candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Applicants are expected to have a Master’s Degree.
- The interested candidate must be a citizen and permanent resident of the People’s Republic of China, at the time of application.
- Applicants are expected to fulfill all the requirements of the CSC.
- The Participants should be intending to pursue a PhD in one of the priority academic areas, identified by CSC, or one of those identified by the University of Newcastle.
How To Apply For The PhD Tuition Award For Chinese Students
In order to be deemed eligible for this award, you will need to enroll for an admission in the University of Newcastle, and then select the course and subject, that you wish to study.
After that, you are eligible to submit an application through an online portal. If you are successful in your application, you will receive a letter of offer, for a place in the research program at the University of Newcastle.
Required Documents: All applicants are expected to submit the following documents; a research proposal, an academic resume, and translated transcripts of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees.
In order to receive an admission for a PhD Degree, applicants must have exceptional cases, and submit evidence of possessing such other academic or professional qualifications, and/or experience as may be approved by the Assistant Dean (Research Training), on the recommendation of the relevant School.
All interested applicants must meet the English Language Proficiency requirements of the Standard, prior to their admission, by demonstrating completion of a Recognized Qualification.
Applicants must have an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, and no subtest below 6.0 for the opportunity.

Benefits Of The Award
This grant program will cover annual funding of AUD $1500, all tuition and research fees, an annual living allowance, return airfare from China to Australia, and VISA fees, plus Overseas Student Health Cover, for the duration of the course, for up to four years (this is included in the CSC living allowance).
