Auckland University of Technology, is preparing a special opportunity for New Zealand citizens, seeking to do a Master’s Degree Program this season, and you don’t want to miss it.
This program is called the Master’s Research Scholarship. It is available for New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
The purpose of this programme, is to provide an opportunity to study at any New Zealand University. Graduate students, who demonstrate leadership qualities, or display high potential for future leadership, in either public or private life, are eligible to apply.
About The Awarding Institution
Auckland University of Technology is a University in New Zealand, formed on 1 January 2000, when a former Technical College (originally established in 1895), was granted University status.
It has five Faculties across three Campuses in Auckland: City, North, and South campuses, and an additional three specialist locations: AUT Millennium, Warkworth Radio Astronomical Observatory and AUT Centre for Refugee Education.
AUT enrolled more than 29,000 students in 2018, including 4,194 International students from 94 Countries, and 2,417 Postgraduate students.
AUT’s student population, is diverse with a range of ethnic backgrounds, including New Zealand European, Asian, Maori and Pasifika.
Students also represent a wide age range, with 22% being aged 25–39 years, and 10% being 40 or older. At AUT, the opportunities are normally regarded as full-time, so positions of emolument may be undertaken only with the permission of the Committee.

What Determines Eligibility?
Applications are welcomed from New Zealand citizens, or a permanent resident of New Zealand.
Eligible Course of Study: This award will be available to Postgraduate Programs, in these subjects; Literature, languages, history, art, music, and philosophy) or Social Sciences (i.e. the scientific study of any aspect of social behaviour and/or the functioning of society).
The grant is open to candidates who may apply in anticipation of, or during, their Postgraduate study, but note that there is only one application round per year.
How To Apply For The Master’s Research Scholarship
To the interested applicants, you may apply for the program, after you must have accepted an offer of admission at the Auckland University of Technology.
Required Documents: Applicants must be ready to provide verified copies of transcripts, of the applicant’s academic record, a statement of the proposed program of research with an outline of the methods of investigation it is proposed to adopt, an outline of past and current leadership activities, a CV, and the names of two referees.
Also, applicants are expected to have the minimum requirement for admission, to Bachelor’s Degrees at AUT.
