This grant program is made available to new International Students, based on their academic achievement.
The main purpose of this program is to provide financial support, for all the most talented students, who wish to pursue an Undergraduate Degree at PSU in the USA.

Portland State University is a Public Research University in Portland, Oregon. It was founded in 1946, as a Post-secondary Educational Institution, for World War II veterans.
It evolved into a four-year college, over the following two decades, and was granted University status in 1969. It is the only Public Urban University in the state of Oregon, that is located in a large city.
Portland State University provides Undergraduate Degrees in one hundred twenty-three fields, Postgraduate Degrees in one hundred and seventeen, and Fully Online Degrees.

What Determines Eligibility?
Applications are welcomed from intending candidates from all Nationalities.
Acceptable Course of Study: The award is available for Undergraduate Courses, in 250 subject areas offered by the University.
In order to be deemed eligible, the applicants must meet the following criteria:
Candidates who are interested in taking a Master’s and Doctoral Degree, may be eligible for this application depending on funding availability.
For those candidates who have not yet met the TOEFL/English Language Proficiency requirement, they are eligible for this application. However, activation of the support will be delayed, until after the ESL restriction has been lifted, and the students are fully eligible for unrestricted enrollment in academic classes.
The International Achievement Award is restricted to new applicants, only for up to 12 terms for freshmen and six terms for transfers.
Students already enrolled at Portland State are not eligible.
How To Apply For The Graduate International Tuition Award
To apply for this Award, intending applicants must enroll for an admission, for an Undergraduate Program at the University.
After being enrolled, they should complete the application form for access the fund.
Required Documents: all interested candidates are expected to send a photocopy (never the original), of the document to the Institution that originally issued it.
Eligible students, typically have entering grade point averages (GPA), of at least 3.5 out of a possible 4.0 grading scale.
Interested candidates are expected to meet all the English Language Requirements of the University.
Benefits Of The Award
Portland State University will provide the award amount up to $4,500 annually to the successful candidates.
