About The Awarding Institution

Founded in 1908 as the State Normal and Industrial School for Women at Harrisonburg, the Institution was renamed Madison College in 1938, in honor of President James Madison and then James Madison University in 1977.

What Determines Eligibility?

This program is only available to candidates from the country of Norway.

Eligible Course of Study: The award will be available for any subject offered by the University.

In order to be deemed eligible, the interested applicants must meet the given criteria:

All interested aspirants must rank in the top 20% of their class, and have a 3.6 cumulative GPA, or rank in the top 20% of their level and have a 1250 SAT.

The grant will be awarded based on demonstrated excellence in academic achievement, leadership, and community service.

How To Apply For The Dingledine-Bluestone Scholarship

In order to be enlisted in the program, interested students are required to enroll for an admission in a Bachelor’s Degree program at the University. After receiving the admission, you can then download the application form, and send it by post to Dingledine-Bluestone Scholarship, James Madison University, MSC 0109 100 East Grace Street Harrisonburg, VA 22807.

Required Documents: The University may ask you for two letters of recommendation, official high school transcript and two essays.

In order to be able to take an admission, you must hold a previous Degree Certificate with remarkable results.

Benefits Of The Award
